"Emilio was a brilliant addition to our Italian Day celebration, bringing enthusiasm and authentic Italian culture into his show. All students thoroughly enjoyed his performance engaging and entertaining them through the entire show. He was a laugh to listen to and everyone was full of smiles from Foundation to Grade 6. Students walked out of the session full of praise for Emilio and his performance. Thank you, Emilio!"

"Thank you, Emilio it was fun, learning the traditional Italian dance Tarantella and where we got to swing around other peoples arms. We liked seeing other people dance up the front for the demonstration and wearing different props. We enjoyed the part where we learnt about the different types of Italian machines and what they are used for. It was fun and very entertaining; we hope that we can do it again!"
Eliza and Sophie Grade 3, Gisborne PS

Anna Ciccone (Marian College)
"During LOTE week this year, the year 7's and 8's experienced both Indonesian and Italian performances. Personally we loved the Italian one as it was full of humour, but we also learnt how to say words in Italian and about the Italian culture. In the Italian performance we were lucky enough to have Emilio and his partner present his fathers' migration story... All students were entertained by his humour and how he interacted with us. We were able to go up on stage and assist him with his performance and it made us feel a part of his story. We were very lucky to have him as our Italian performer and he hope to see him soon!"
Dimitra and Ari (Students from Marian College)
"We think the Italian performer, Emilio, was an excellent performer. He showed us the story about his father and how the Italian immigrated to Australia. We gained a clear understanding of the hardships they had to go through and the culture of Italy. We also learnt some new words and expressions in Italian. It was a great day and we learned a lot of new things."
Lina & Taran (Students from Marian College)
"I enjoyed the Italian Performance, because it was very engaging and funny! I learnt how to say some Italian words with the correct accent and now I can annoy my friends with it! I also learnt how to do tradition Italian Dance, which I enjoyed very much! Learning about the History of Italian in Melbourne was very interesting. Now I really want to go to Italy and eat lot of Italian Food, but above all to practice the language!!!"
Julie (Student from Marian College)
"Thank you, Emilio we really enjoyed the part where you put on the slide show because we learnt about you and your family coming out to Australia. We learnt to say some more Italian words that we can use in the classroom. We liked how you showed us some Italian utensils and equipment. It was funny seeing students come up and participate in an act. We loved your show!"
Abby and Sasha Grade 5, Gisborne PS
"It was very funny ...I also liked the dance at the end which was extremely fun. He got everybody to stand up and do a nonsense dance about making sauce, pasta and sausages."
