Arts & Crafts - Paper Machce House (4-6 years old)


Paper machce

Decorate a paper machce house using a range of materials

Using a blank 3D paper mache house, children will enjoy engaging with their creativity whilst using a variety of materials to decorate their house! Children will have the opportunity to make new friends and help them develop confident self identies

Clay monster

Create a clay monster using air drying clay

Using Air drying clay and a variety of different materials, children will have the opportunity to engage with their imagination and creativity to create their own little monster. Children will have the opportunity to develop their social skills through

Potions class - first years (6-8 year olds)


Potions

Walk straight into Fairfield's own Diagon alley and join professor Annie O'Reilly for a one hour Potions class, inspired by the beloved Harry Potter franchise. In this wizarding class, students will mix, blend, and brew a series of delicious (drinkable) potions filled with spells and incantations. In need of a laugh? Giggle potion might do the trick! Or perhaps a truth serum, love spell or abundance charm would add to your magical knowledge. Students are encouraged to attend all of professor O'Reilly's classes in their robes, and all materials for first year Potions will be provided.

Building Mindfulness LEGO Workshop with LEGO Master Annie! (6-12 year olds)

Join Annie from LEGO Masters Australia for a 1 hour LEGO Master workshop. Students will work closely with Annie and 40kgs of LEGO to learn several techniques taught on LEGO Masters Australia as well as experience a series of Mindfulness building challenges. Creativity is all you need for this epic hour.

Percussion with Emilio Ela Rose (5-7 year olds)


Percussion

Join Emilio who has over 30 years of percussion experience playing in bands and live performances (Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Acoustic Drum Kits, etc) The workshop allows children to explore their creativity freely through music and rhythm. Children will learn basic rhythms using a variety of percussive instruments. The workshop will conclude with a mini performance from the group from the teachings in the workshop.

Street Latin Dance & Drama with Emilio Ela Rose (5-7 year olds)

Emilio Ela Rose (Latin American Salsa Champion, Victorian State Salsa Judge, Trained Drama at the Victorian College of the Arts, Producer & Choreographer at EPR Productions & Ela Rose Studios)

Dance

Emilio will share his teachings learnt while spending time dancing with the street kids of South America and Spain. His inspiration with these street kids allowed Emilio to access the secret of feeling the music through ones unique gift and interpretation. This Led Emilio to win the Latin American Salsa Title. "Dance is about feeling and self interpretation of a rhythm, its not just about learning a series of steps. Each soul has an individual way to express, a unique gift which only they can access.. this is the true quality of a true champion - self belief, trust in something different, connecting to ones own instinct" The workshop will encourage children to develop self confidence, self belief, social development, and assist in developing a sense of belonging whilst learning the acceptance of cultural diversity through fun and engaging Street Latin Rhythms (including Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Tango, Merengue, Flamenco, Bachata, Zouk, etc)

Drama

Encouraging and Supporting Children to develop self awareness, nurture imagination, build confidence, enhance communication skills (utilising non verbal communication), collaborating ideas with a group. The program will conclude with a presentation utilising Street Latin Dance and Drama as a mini performance from the teachings in the workshop.
